Tour tickets are available in advance by reserving a lodging package from participating inns, and this is the best way to secure a ticket for a weekend of cookie, candy and gingerbread fun.

Lodging packages include a two night stay, full breakfast each day, two tour tickets, recipes, special value offers from inns and local businesses, and a chance to win a $250 gift certificate for a future getaway at the inn of your choice.

December 12-13, 2009 is the weekend the Country Inns in the White Mountains assure holiday revelers the ultimate in sweet dreams at the 13th Annual Inn to Inn Holiday Cookie and Candy Tour® held from 11 am to 4 pm each day. Participants will not only tour inns decked in all their holiday finery offering signature holiday cookies and candies, but once again this year they’ll be treated to a display of handmade gingerbread sculptures, collector’s ornaments and recipe collections from each inn.

Inns participating in the tour this year include the Darby Field Inn in Albany; the Bartlett Inn in Bartlett; Riverbend Inn and Brass Heart Inn in Chocorua; Inn at Crystal Lake and Pub in Eaton; Admiral Peary House in Fryeburg, Maine; Covered Bridge House in Glen; Notchland Inn in Hart's Location; the 1785 Inn and Glen Oaks Inn in Intervale; Inn at Ellis River and Inn at Jackson both in Jackson; Eastman Inn, Old Red Inn & Cottages and Wildflowers Inn in North Conway. No inn is more than fifteen minutes from the next, with some even closer.

This 13th Annual Tour in 2009 will offer these features!

Participants that visit each inn will receive a beautiful brass keepsake ornament, intended to be the fourth in a series of collectible ornaments to be distributed for years to come.

Local businesses will sponsor gingerbread sculptures created by local artists, school groups, chefs or bakers to be displayed at participating inns for the gingerbread contest. Vote for your favorite at the last inn on your tour. Winning sculptures will receive a donation for a designated non-profit.
