This popular inn to inn holiday cookie and candy tour
celebrates the 10th year by adding gingerbread displays,
recipe cards, collectors ornaments and the chance to win
a free overnight getaway!

Date: December 9 and 10, 2006 - Saturday and Sunday

Time: Self-guided tour from 11 am - 4 pm each day

Tickets: $25 per person for two day tour

Tickets are available in advance by reserving a lodging package at a participating inn or may be purchased the day of the tour at select inns.

Join us for the sweetest holiday event of this season as you tour seventeen inns decked in holiday finery from Hart's Location to Tamworth. You'll sample signature recipes for holiday cookies and candies, be treated to a display of handmade gingerbread sculptures, and begin your collection of recipes from each inn. Plus you'll have a chance to receive a collector's ornament and win a $250 gift certificate for a getaway at the inn of your choice. Chosen by editors of New Hampshire Magazine at "The Best Sugar High", proceeds from the event will benefit area nonprofit associations.

Inns participating in the tour this year include the Darby Field Inn in Albany; the Bartlett Inn in Bartlett; Riverbend Inn in Chocorua; Inn at Crystal Lake and Pub in Eaton; Admiral Peary House in Fryeburg, Maine; Covered Bridge House in Glen; Notchland Inn in Hart's Location; the 1785 Inn and Glen Oaks Inn in Intervale; Inn at Ellis River and Inn at Jackson both in Jackson; Lake View Cottage in Madison; Eastman Inn, Old Red Inn & Cottages and Wildflowers Inn in North Conway; Snowvillage Inn in Snowville and Tamworth Inn in Tamworth. No inn is more than fifteen minutes from the next, with some even closer. Take a self-guided tour to visit each of these seventeen inns participating in the Country Inns in the White Mountains Annual Inn to Inn Cookie and Candy Tour for holiday decorating ideas along with recipes to prepare for your friends and family for the holidays.

This 10th Annual Tour in 2006 will offer some new features!

For the first time, every participant that visits all seventeen inns will receive a beautiful brass keepsake ornament, intended to be the first in a collection to be distributed for years to come.

Local businesses will sponsor gingerbread sculptures created by local artists, school groups, chefs or bakers to be displayed at participating inns for the gingerbread contest. Vote for your favorite at the last inn on your tour. Winning sculptures will receive a donation for a designated non-profit.
