Join us for our NEW annual event for a weekend of great food, great wine, and warm hospitality. There is nothing like dining at a country inn. Each one is unique, intimate, and candlelit. All very romantic.
Our eleven lodging members are located where the mountains of New Hampshire meet the rolling farmland of western Maine. There are a number of family-run farms, some centuries old, offering the freshest locally grown produce, meats, and dairy products. A wonderful resource for everyone which is greatly utilized by our member restaurants.
A visit in late October during the fall harvest is quite enjoyable. The brilliant reds and oranges or early fall become yellow and gold. Shuffle through the leaves on your walks and hikes and welcome the new open views you’ll find only when the leaves have fallen. Challenge yourself to find your way through a corn maize, pick your own apples, snack on freshly made warm cider donuts, or sip some newly pressed apple cider. Stop at a farm stand where you may be surprised to find homemade jams, jellies, and crafts.
Five member country inns not only serve breakfast, they are also open to the public for dinner with full bar service. Each chef will prepare their own unique five-course dinner menu with wines paired to each course to enhance the flavors of your meal. These menus will soon be added to this event information. The five participating restaurants are: 1785 Inn in North Conway, The Brass Heart Inn in Chocorua, Darby Field Inn in Albany, Inn at Crystal Lake and Pub in Eaton, and Snowvillage Inn in Snowville.
Two-night lodging packages will be offered by each of our members and will include breakfast at their inn, afternoon refreshments, 5-course wine dinner at the inn of your choice, an activity at the inn or in the area, and the option of visiting a second inn for another 5-course wine dinner. After all of these wines, be sure to plan a visit to a New Hampshire Liquor Store and take your favorites home, all available for purchase tax-free!
Make plans to participate in our first Annual Wine and Dine the Whites beginning Friday, October 25th through Sunday, October 27th. The days are warm and the nights will be cool but just right for relaxing by the fire. Come enjoy the quiet time of fall and taste wines that may be just right for you to serve during your upcoming holiday meals.
Great food, great wine, and warm hospitality.
